The Traditional Dance Club of Almyros founded by physical educations teacher Mr. Konstantinos Gkoudaras, aims for the learning and dissemination of local traditions such as dancing, music ect from Eastern Rumelia, Asia Minor, Pontus and Cappadocia because of the resident refugees that came from these places. The dance groups are constantly presenting local traditions, customs and songs at events in cities in Greece and abroad.
The traditional woman's dress of Almyros is called Anteri which consists a shirt, the anteri, a scarf and an apron decorated with a tree in the middle with two roosters on both sides, symbolizing the tree of life. Gathering information and combining elements, we decided to create a logo that has the values of the dress for originality and the purpose of the club.
The logo depicts a line of triangles in the middle, seperating the tree of life and the dancers below it. It can be viewed as an emblem with the title around it and on the side of it as a logotype, depending on the applications used, such as invitations, folders, scarfs, earrings ect.
